Every August, University United Methodist offers a Fun & Fellowship Camp opportunity at the beautiful Lake Michigan United Methodist Camp near Pentwater, MI. This Friday through Sunday event on the shores of Lake Michigan is all about our inter-generational families! Those with young kids, those with grown kids, and those with no kids all have a space here!
There are sites available for RVs and tents as well as platform tents, which sleep 5, and cabins, which sleep 12. We spend our weekend swimming, roasting marshmallows, and getting to know one another better. In addition, we do most meals together as a group and enjoy an outdoor worship service on Sunday morning. Stripping away the busyness of our daily lives and living as God’s people in God’s creation is a beloved tradition that we want to share with you!
Additionally, United Methodist Camping ministry is encouraged and supported at University United Methodist Church. Each year, dedicated volunteers work all season long at Michigan State football concessions stands to raise funds for camping scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to campers of all ages (kids, youth, college students, and beyond!) in April. We strive to make certain that anyone who wants access to United Methodist summer camp opportunities has them.
